In the resort of Alpe d'Huez you will find somewhere great to stay, There is a selection of Chalets and Hotels ranging from budget to superior living. The accommodations are divided into four quarters, which are; Quartier des Jeux is central, Quartier des Vieil Alpe is west, Quartiers des Cognet is north and Quartier des Bergers is to the east of the resort. The downside to this is everything is spread out and the accommodations are scattered through-out each of the areas.
Quartier des Bergers is the newest addition to Alpe d'Huez made up mainly of self-catering apartments, you will find a few hotels on a full or half board basis should this be your preferred option. Not the largest of the three quarters, however you will discover a few restaurants and bars, with a small arcade of shops (mainly sports) and a supermarket. Visitors staying in Quartiers des Bergers regularly go into the centre on an evening as this is where you will find most of the nightlife and entertainment.
If you are looking for more of a residential feel, quiet and out of the centre, then Quartier des Vieil Alpe may be for you. It is the oldest of the quarters to the west and offers full board hotel accommodation, and a choice of restaurants.
Quartiers des Jeux is the place to be if you want a lively holiday and apres activity that takes you through the night. Right in the centre of Alpe d'Huez 1860. Offering visitors a huge choice of shopping, dining and off the slopes activity. Various accommodations on offer in Quartiers des Jeux, chalets, hotels and apartments to suit all budgets.
Quartiers des Cognet is to the north and like the others are a smaller area of Alp d'Huez, has a few shops and eateries.
